Hi Guys Apologies as this has probably been asked already although I haven't been able to find it following a quick search. As the newer Xbox controllers now also come with a 3.5mm jack I was trying to figure out if there are any benefits in buying the Kraken for Xbox over the standard Kraken's? I thought the control unit that comes with the Xbox version was essentially an adapter (with audio control of course) for the proprietary connector on the older controllers so is this headset just aimed at these legacy controllers or does it do more than that I'm just missing the point?

Yeah thanks Franubis. I know the Kraken's connect through a single audio jack (plug) but also that there are two common standards in CITA (the one Xbox uses) and OMTP. I realise that the difference is that the ground and microphone contacts are swapped around and that this can be corrected with an additional adapter but I was hoping someone on the forums would have tried it already it and could advise based on their experience. Also I still find it a little strange that most vendors seem to be pushing the Xbox headsets with the proprietary adapter only and make no mention that the standard anolog ones may work, obviously with certain controllers. Although unless you've bought a new controller since the announcement around last summer you won't have one with a 3.5mm jack anyway so as you've already said they simply aren't as common.

You will find the serial number located under the left ear pad of the headset. (The side where the microphone is if your version of the Kraken has one).

To view the serial number carefully peel back the foam cover of the ear pad. You will then be able to see the serial number as in this. The serial number should start with two Alpha characters and be followed by 13 characters.

You can also find the serial number on the bottom panel of the original retail box. I hear echo/feedback when using my Razer Kraken Pro. How can I solve this? Here are a few suggestions that may help.
