Hi, At the onset, basic tools and equipment would include ( but not be limited to): • basic electronic tools & equipment (side cutter, screwdrivers, soldering station, DVM); • a dummy load wattmeter; • frequency counter; • RF Voltmeter; • SWR meter; • variable regulated power supply; • AF/RF signal generator; • Spectrum Analyzer (would be nice but not a necessity). Repairs would involve sectoring the handheld into: • logic/controller circuitry; • RX section; • TX section; • built-in power supply/regulator circuitry.
