I also need to know how to tell when the Transmission fluid / Hydraulic fluid is full. Mine is very low, but I don't see any kind of dip stick or other indicator anywhere. He said it was a washable screen, but now I'm wondering if he had it confused with one of his other tractors. I'd also like to get a few fuel filters for it if they are still available. Looks like it's a paper cartridge inside a clear bowl. Kind of like a miniature Golden Rod filter.
According to the service manual, the Mitsubishi diesel should use 10W30 oil. Does this sound right? My trucks run 15W40 and I expected this little guy to do the same.
Just want to make sure I put the right stuff in it. What about antifreeze? I drive an old (93) diesel truck, and it needs an SCA additive, and can't use a lot of the newer antifreezes. Does this tractor just need the plain ol ethylene glycol that everything used to run? Are there certain things that I should make sure to stay away from?
